Later that night, the two of them sat in front of the TV, Carrie's head resting in Jen's lap. It was a gesture of affection that Jen would never have dared to try before, but now spoke to a comfort that seemed to be a side effect of the programming.

Once they had rested and showered after their lovemaking session, Jen had released Carrie from the app-induced trance, and endured a moment of fear in which she was sure that Carrie would remember everything. Jen imagined Carrie's horrified reaction as she realized what she had done, her tears matched only by her screams of accusation, but thankfully, that had never come. Carrie had been perfectly convinced that she had simply taken a nap, and nothing unusual had happened. The app, and the glasses, had worked perfectly.

Well, almost perfectly, Jen reflected, as Carrie lay topless across the couch, her head in Jen's lap; her fingers languidly stroked the inside of Jen's thigh. It may have had a few lingering effects, but those were certainly nothing to complain about.

As her mind wandered, she came back to the same question that had been nagging her ever since she and Carrie had finished. Who had authored the app in the first place, and stored it on her company's database? It would have to be one of her coworkers, and only so many of them had access...

Jen ran her fingers through Carrie's hair, imagining what it all meant. She wondered if anyone else she knew had found themselves in the same situation, and if so, who with? Had one of her coworkers been secretly using this tech in the same way she had? What would they think if they realized that she had found their research? There were so many questions she needed to answer.

Her reverie was interrupted by a question spoken from the direction of her legs. 'So what do you have planned for the weekend?'

'I don't know,' she replied honestly, realizing that none of her concerns could be addressed until the next week at the earliest. She smiled as she thought about the implications of that realization. 'I suppose maybe run a few more tests on the glasses.'

'Oh, cool,' Carrie replied, a subconscious note of excitement rising in her voice. 'I don't have much going on either. I was thinking about having Jared, one of the guys from work, over for dinner, but maybe I can help you out with that.'

'Sounds great,' Jen said through a slowly widening smile. 'Maybe you can both help.' She let her head loll back against the couch, and turning her gaze toward the closet door just barely visible to her in the other room, imagined all of the possibilities.
